Scar Work

Restoring connection within the body

3.png

A scar is not only on the surface.

Even when the skin has healed,
it can continue to affect the fascia -
the connective tissue that links the whole body

quietly affecting how the moves and feels.

Scar tissue can create restriction

It may reduce space within the body,
affect movement,
and change how force travels through the
structure.

Sometimes the scar is small -
but its effect it not.

How we work

Through patience, care, and attentive touch,
the tissue is invited to soften,
and reconnect with the body around it.

This is not about forcing change and
looking better

It is about allowing the body
to regain space,
and reorganise from within.

When it may help

Scar Work may be helpful
when something no longer feels the same.

There may be tightness,
restriction in movement,
or a sense that the body has adapted around
an area.

Sometimes,
the effect is not where the scar is.

The body holds its history.

A scar is not only what we see,
but what the body remembers.

When that history is released,
the body can move with more ease again.

Scar Work is not only about the scare alone.

It is about restoring connection -
so the body can move with more freedom,
and feel more like itself again.
